ALL MY RELATIONS

My family is from lÉ™k’Ê·É™niʔən territory, which is a small tribe on an Island in the Pacific Northwest of Canada. I come from the Warren and Albany families from the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. I also have Cree and Métis heritage from my  Nana’s family. On my mother’s side, we are Icelandic, French, and English.

  • The group exhibition of international contemporary art entitled TIME MACHINE: Perceptions, memories and transits between past and future opens Saturday, May 18, at 7 pm at the Renaissance venue of Palmieri Foundation in Lecce. The show, under auspices by the Municipality of Lecce, is curated by Dores Sacquegna. Exhibition catalog on display.

Nova Arts Hub, Founder

July  2024- Present

  • Created a space that is dedicated to bringing together individuals from cultures that have historically been oppressed, using art as a tool to explore new paths toward cross-cultural liberation.

Public Art Display, City of Victoria

August 2025

Worked with the City of Victoria to create large scale artwork that is scaled to fit on a large silo outdoors. This work shares the stories of local Indigenous narratives on a large public scale

Indigenous Cultural Spaces Zine, 4CULTURE | Seattle, USA

August 2025

Worked with 4 Culture to create an artwork to be displayed in a zine that reflects Seattle based Indigenous communities’ understanding of what defines a native cultural space.

Public Art Displays, Royal oak Shopping centre

June 2024- Present

  • Worked collaboratively with Hansbraun Investments to create banners, a mural, and other artworks in offices throughout the Royal oak shopping centre. 

​

​

 

Indigenous Arts Collective of Canada

  • Accepted into the collective, joining a nationwide database and collective of Indigenous artists from across the country. 

Founder of the Cultural Curation Project

MAY 2023- PRESENT

  •  Created the Cultural Curation Project, which shares culturally centered and community focused approaches to curation. Currently, this project is  developing the training for curators to learn from the voices of Indigenous artists all over Canada

Victoria Harbour Authority 

Inner Harbour Placemaking Project

MARCH 2024

  • Contracted to create a placemaking design, which will be permanently featured on the marina gates in the Marina at Victoria’s Inner Harbour

Victoria Primary Care Network, Victoria B.C.

Continuous Artist Collaboration

 APRIL 2023- PRESENT

  • Contracted as an indigenous Collaborator to create iconography, prints, and place specific artwork to create opportunities for learning and change within healthcare through using art

 

Songhees Nation, Victoria B.C.

Mural design, consultation, and assembly

 APRIL 2023

  • Designed and assembled a mural for the Songhees First Nation to create a collaborative mural with Indigenous youth, providing a day of learning for youth to contribute to the mural and ask art related questions. This was done with input and collaboration with community members to assure it culturally represents the Nation

Artist Residency, La Napoule France 

Artist Residency

NOVEMBER 2022- DECEMBER 2022

  •  Was invited to join 10 other artists for a month long artist residency 

  • Created art that weaved Indigenous designs, story telling, and expressive art techniques to share about my learning of Indigenous global allyship, based off of the previous 4 months of traveling in the Middle East and North Africa

  • Engaged with a foreign audience to share about global allyship through artwork

Mural Design and Support in Assembly

MAY 2021– JUNE 2022

  • Supported in the assembly and design of a mural under Johnson Street Bridge, sharing about Indigenous place-making and cosmology

Songhees Nation, Victoria B.C.

Mural design, consultation, and assembly

 JUNE 2022

  • Worked with the assistance of another Indigenous artist to design a mural in the Songhees Wellness Centre to be used in the Education department. This mural was done collaboratively with the Education Department to assure it aligned with the vision for the space
